2019 Holiday Racket Day

Many thanks to the volunteers and participants who contributed to our effort to support LCCCTA programs and the Boys and Girls CHS Tennis Teams! It was perfect December tennis weather! With challenging drills and expert instruction for all ages and levels of experience!Leigh Chak, a USTA League co-ordinator from Ocala, kept players moving and developing skills through active, fun drills. Liza Viplav, Tennis Forever Teaching Pro and a former Number One Singles player in India, lent her expertise to appreciative groups of students.Boys Team Coach Tom Moore was the first one on the court, hitting with participants and analyzing and providing stroke production instruction. Mike Null and Laura Null continued mentoring their Love to Learn / Love to Play group, which is fantastic!Linda Williams and Dolly Robinson worked with some very talented beginners and some precious little ones. Joe Hinkle and Joanne Hinkle handled registration and bookkeeping, and Laura Hunter helped in overall organization.Following drills and instruction, five courts were filled with doubles play.What a great day as we realized that surely “Mr. Mont” was smiling down to see the tennis action he so loved, encouraged and supported.
