Planning Meeting — 3/9/15

Call to Order: Committee Chairman Glenn Hunter called the meeting to order at 5:35 PM. This in attendance included: Glenn Hunter, Dolly Robinson, Pierce Kelley, James Montgomery, Tom Moore and Mike Null.Approval of Minutes of the February 9, 2015 meeting: Mr. Kelley gave corrections regarding the establishment of the 501(c)(3) corporation. Minutes were approved with those changes.Old Business: NoneNew Business: Chairman Hunter gave an update on the new alignment of the Planning Committee. The Planning Committee for the tennis complex will now fall under the Sport Committee of the TDC, including Kelly Lowrey and Paula Vann. This Tennis Committee is to present a status update to the Sports Committee during their regular meeting on March 17, 2015 at 6:00 PM to be held at the Southside Sports Complex Coaches Building. Committee members discussed which member would present on behalf of the organization.Other New Business: NoneReport by Gateway Community Tennis Association: President Dolly Robinson presented consideration for a name change of the proposed association; there was discussion about identifying where this Association is located particularly as it related to hosting events. Ms. Robinson proposed the new name of: Lake City Columbia Community Tennis Association. The committee members agreed to go forward with the development of the corporation documents using the new name including the use of "LCCCTA" for the logo of the website and other print.
